Province Not Paying for Trustee Pay Raise

Trustees with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board will get
more money starting in Decemebr and it looks as if the Board will have to
pick up at least half of the cost.
Chief Financial Officer Dean Carrie they had expected the Minstry of
Education to cover 100% of the Trustee’s honoraria because they had
initiated the process.
Carrie says the roughly $10,000 annual increase is not huge compared to their budget
but notes the board still has to decide how to pay for it.
The increase is retro-active to September 2005.
