Officials say they’re working on a strategy to help a remote First Nations community under a state of emergency due to a plague of murders, arson’s and assaults.
Fort Hope, is home to 1,200 people and has seen 3-murders and dozens of arson’s and thefts in the last year.
Ontario Aboriginal Affairs Minister Chris Bentley says the province will work with the federal government to come up with a plan to help.
He said the governments will work to get the reserve “to a better place” and suggested better law enforcement and community leadership.
