Aboriginal Health Access Centers in Northwestern Ontario are getting a financial boost from the provincial government.
Aboriginal Affairs Minister David Zimmer made a funding announcement in Kenora today.
Zimmer says the health access centres in Fort Frances and Kenora will receive $2.3-million to retain and recruit primary care physicians and nurses.
He adds the centres will also be receiving funding for building renovations.
Zimmer notes the two facilities are offering a good mix of western and traditional medicines.
