Public Board Lags Behind Province In Literacy Results

A slight drop in numbers in the most recent Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test results.

62% of eligible students passed the test last year, down 3% from the last results.

Queen Elizabeth High School saw the biggest gains going up 10% to 61%.

Red Lake struggled as the school dropped from a 73% success rate to 59%.

Dryden High School and Ignace were among the leaders at 68% and 75% respectively.

The provincial average was 82%.
