Public Board Urging Parents To Contact Teachers

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is encouraging parents to get in touch with their child’s teacher as report cards start coming out.

Instructors aren’t providing comments on report cards as part of their job action in the ongoing labour dispute with the province.

Director of Education Sean Monteith says it’s important to maintain a strong relationship between teachers and community members.

Monteith adds maintained communication is beneficial for everyone involved.

He says teachers take the responsibility very seriously.

Monteith adds that once job action is over, comments will show up on report cards again.
