Public Sector Wages

Several area names appear on the annual list of Public Servants earning over $100,000 annually.
The Province publishes the names & salaries every Spring & for 2005, the top wage earner with the City of Dryden was City Manager Ari Hoogenboom with $108,960.
Among other Dryden workers on the list are Hospital Administrator Wade Petranik at 137,000, along with 8 employees with the Keewatin Patricia District School Board including Director of Education Janet Wilkinson who earned $142,000 & Superintendent of Ed Wendy Wiedenhoeft at $115,000.
Top wage earner for ‘05 in the region was Medical Officer of Health Dr Pete Sarsfield who brought in just under $192,000.
Homes for the Aged Administrator Kevin Queen barely made the list with a salary total for last year of $100,004!
