The Sioux Lookout OPP have laid a number of charges after a string of break and enters that occurred in Sioux Lookout between the 14th and 19th of August.
On the 14th of August, OPP discovered that a business on Robert Street was broken into. In the early morning hours yesterday four additional businesses on Fair Street, Fifth Ave North, King Street, and Prince Street were also broken into or someone attempted to gain entry.
Sioux Lookout OPP detachment members, the OPP North West Region Crime Unit, and the Sioux Lookout OPP Street Team, including trained OPP Scenes of Crime Officers were all involved in the investigation.
A 17-year-old male youth from Big Trout Lake First Nation has been charged with 4 counts of break and enter, 3 counts of mischief and one count of trespassing at night and a few other charges.
The youth is being held in Sioux Lookout for a bail hearing today (Thursday, 20 August)
