Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty isn’t surprised U.S. President Barack Obama has officially vetoed the Keystone XL pipeline project.
Rafferty says it isn’t a good deal for anyone.
The NDP member says President Obama realizes the project won’t create as many jobs as the Canadian government is promising.
Rafferty admits the project isn’t dead but a lot of things need to happen in order for it to move forward.
Meanwhile, Minister of Natural Resources Greg Rickford feels this isn’t the end of the road for Keystone and the Conservatives will continue to push for the job creating project.
