A massive campaign is about to be launched by a group of community members and the Dryden Police to reduce crime among youths in the Dryden area.
The Neighbourhood Legacy Project will look at constructing a number of new recreational facilities and improving the existing one.
Dryden Police Chief Shane MacKinnon says they plan to send out a survey in the near future asking the public what kind of facilities they would like to see built.
He adds their would be little cost to the city or taxpayers because they plan to access government grants and launch fund-raising drives.
Among the ideas being discussed is constructing a youth centre, skateboard park as well as add baseball diamond, soccer pitches, and outdoor rinks.
MacKinnon says more activities will keep area youths active and out of trouble.
