Red Lake Arts Festival

The Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre has received $30,000
in Federal funding to host the inaugural Woodland Arts Festival; a Tribute to Norval Morrisseau and the Woodland Artists.
Curator Michelle Alderton says the July 4th to 6th event will bring
together aboriginal artists, collectors, art historians and writers.
She says the idea of the Festival is to connect aboriginal youth
to some well-known artists.
Alderton says guest artists will spend the festival weekend conducting
art workshops as well as participating in lectures and panel discussions.
