The City of Dryden received little direction Monday night on the 2007
budget.
8-people attended a public meeting with only 2 taxpayers making
presentations.
Sid Wintle says Council should be concentrating on reducing the
residential tax rate.
Wintle says taxes have gone up 38% in 4 years, without a noticable improvement in
services.
He says its time for Council to look at its expenses instead.
Finance Chair Brian Collins says the City has not looked at the tax
rate but notes a figure may come forward shortly.
