Region Under Extreme Cold Warning

An extreme cold warning is in effect from Environment Canada.

Wind chill of around minus 40 is expected for most of the Northwest region this morning and over the next few nights.

Officials say to bundle up since such low temperatures put everyone at risk for frostbite and hypothermia.

Wind chill is expected to ease off slightly during the day, but Environment Canada is reminding you to watch for cold-related symptoms like shortness of breath, chest pain, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes. (File Photo)
