The Patricia Region Tourist Council says 2018 has been a great year for tourism across the region.
Graham MacKenzie addressed Dryden Rotary Wednesday and he says most camps have been reporting higher numbers.
MacKenzie admits most outfitters had to endure some lean years about a decade ago, but they are now doing a lot better.
He believes it’s due to the work the Tourist Council is doing to attract more visitors as well as more people in the industry.
One tool used to enhance numbers is the launch of a website.
MacKenzie says the site includes an interactive map that showcases tourist camps for people to visit.
MacKenzie says it’s user friendly and gives you all the information you need.
