Municipalities across the Northwest are being urged to support a study to help increase the amount of health related money flowing into the area.
NOMA is taking part in the $600,000 study to encourage more research and development.
President Ingrid Parkes says there should be more opportunities in the North with the opening of the new Northern Medical School in the Fall of 2004.
The goal is to create as many as 3 thousand research jobs across the region in the next decade.
NOMA is seeking funding from both FedNor and the Northern Ontario Fund for the study.
