Regional Nursing Program

Lakehead University and Confederation College are now looking for those interested in becoming a Registered Nurse.
The Distance Education Bachelor of Science Nursing Program is scheduled to start up in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Kenora and Fort Frances next fall.
Dryden Hospital Spokesperson Darlene Furlong says the 4 year curriculum will give students the required training at home in an effort to keep them practicing locally.
Furlong says interested parties are being urged to contact Confederation College even though registration hasn’t officially started.
She adds response for the program has been encouraging and they need 25 students to justify running the curriculum outside Thunder Bay.
