Regional Reaction To Northern Ontario Win

The Northern Ontario win at the Brier has a northwestern Ontario connection.
Thunder Bay curler Joe Scharf served as the team’s fifth member at last year’s Brier.
Scharf says the Brad Jacobs’ win hits close to home.
Scharf notes the team works harder off the ice at being the most physically and mentally ready team in the country.
He says he kept in contact with the team throughout the entire week en route to the national title.
Brad Jacobs won Northern Ontario’s first title since 1985 last night with an improbable 11-4 win over Manitoba’s Jeff Stoughton.
