Three people from out west have been charged following reports of a suspicious vehicle in the Dryden and Ignace Area on Wednesday.
Around 2:30pm, a Thunder Bay OPP officer saw the 2014 Ford Mustang on Highway 17, about 20km east of Upsala and signaled it to pull over.
The car pulled over to the shoulder and as soon as the officer got out of the cruiser, the Mustang drove off and headed North onto Dog River Road, west of Raith.
Police found the vehicle a short time later about 15km from Highway 17 after it drove onto an old rail bed and got stuck in the mud.
While searching the car, police found 68 grams of marihuana.
Police say 30-year-old Allan Martinez from Winnipeg, 20-year-old Axl Rose Oracion-Sarmiento from Calgary and 31-year-old Leslie Cardinal also from Calgary have been charged with Flight From Police and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Police add that Martinez has also been charged with Stunt Driving and Driving Without A Licence.
The men are in police custody for a video court appearance.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
