The Northwestern Independent Living Service wants the Province to free up more money to keep persons with physical disabilities at home.
The group currently has over 55 people needing attendant services in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts and Executive Director Kristan Miclash says the situation has become critical.
MicLash says Hospitals will continue to be bogged down with patients who could be living at home with a little more financial help.
She adds they haven’t had an increase in funding in more than 7 years.
The group is funded 100% through the province and currently handles 60 clients.
