A section of the idled Resolute Forest Products mill in Fort Frances is going to get a face lift.
A group of volunteers is taking it upon themselves to paint murals on a building next to the International bridge.
Joanne Ogden is spearheading the effort and says complaints on social media got her looking at what could be done.
The plans call for a mural depicting live in northwestern Ontario on the side of the building that faces traffic coming from the U.S.
Ogden says there are some repairs to that wall that need to be done first, noting the damage now is only superficial.
Two walls facing the Canada Customs building will feature the names of those who helped with the project.
Ogden says Resolute is okay with the upgrades, but is awaiting formal approval from the company before starting any work.
