It will be a few days before organizers will have a final total on Saturday’s “Ride for Memories” for the Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River. Predictions of rain and thunderstorms caused numerous riders to cancel their plans Friday evening and Saturday morning. Nonetheless, some 80 or 90 bikes from Fort Frances, Kenora and even Thunder Bay rallied at the IGA in Dryden for the ‘run’ to Red Lake. After one shower near Eagle River, skies cleared for the rest of the trip. Riders enjoyed a break at the Legion in Ear Falls, followed by a steak dinner at the Red Lake Legion. Organizers say they should have a total of the amount raised in the next day or two.
