Ring Of Fire Still A Priority

Ontario’s acting Minister of Northern Development and Mines isn’t hitting the panic button yet on the lack of development in the Ring of Fire.

Bill Mauro says he had discussions with NorOnt Resources on Sunday and officials indicated that they are still committed to the project.

Mauro says they seem to be optimistic about developments in the mining area.

He adds the government still has a billion dollars to invest in infrastructure in the Ring of Fire and he is happy with where they are at.

PC critic Norm Miller says very little work seems to be going on in the Ring of Fire.

Miller is worried thousands of potential jobs could be in jeopardy.
