One of Canada’s major wireless carriers has announced what it calls a game-changer for the industry.
Rogers says new technology is allowing it to replace U.S. roaming plans with a flat daily fee for enrolled customers.
CEO Guy Laurence says Rogers has heard the message from Canadians, that U.S. roaming is confusing and not affordable, and he says Rogers’ new approach changes all that.
Laurence says it’s ridiculous that customers have to wait until they get home from a trip outside the U.S. to upload their pictures or share them with friends.
He says Rogers Share Everything Plan is changing that by letting them send them when they are on their trip, worry free.
Laurence adds they’ll only charge 5-dollars per day, to a max of 10-days per monthly bill.
