Rowe to go to trial

A judge has ruled that a 77 year old for Anglican Church minister will have to stand trial on more than 50 sexual assault charges.

Ralph Rowe had argued the charges were unconstitutional because of a deal he had made with the crown 12 years ago after he had been convicted on 30 similar offenses.

Rowe says the deal said he couldn’t be charged with any sex-related offenses.

The new charges involve youth in a number of remote northern Ontario communities.

Rowe is scheduled to be back in Kenora court on August 18th.
