RWALK The Nation Reaches Dryden

She calls it ‘RWALK the Nation’.

Paddy Quiring is on a cross-Canada trek on behalf of the Adult Teen Challenge and she stopped in Dryden Thursday.

The 58-year-old is a marathon runner but she’s also biking and walking across the country, depending on the conditions.

Quiring is a Winnipeg resident and says the journey is in memory and in legacy of her husband who died last year after a battle with alcoholism.

Quiring notes he was a wonderful man and a strong leader and stresses we should all look at the positives of those who struggle with addictions.

She notes her husband died on April 13th, 2016 and that’s why she decided to embark on her trip on the one year anniversary, leaving from Vancouver.

Quiring hopes to arrive in Nova Scotia by the end of September.
