Sandy Beach and Machin Beach Now Open

It couldn’t come at a better time as swimmers will likely flock to area beach’s this weekend to beat the heat.
The Northwestern Health Unit has reopened Sandy Beach in Dryden and Machin Beach in Eagle River after receiving acceptable bacteria samples during testing this week.
However, Ear Falls Beach remains closed due to high amounts of E-Coli.
Officials say it’s not uncommon to have these types of fluctuating notices this time of year.
