Provincial Police have now charged a 24-year-old man Sandy Lake First Nation man with second degree murder in relation to the death of a 49-year-old man.
Police were contacted May 6th about a man needing assistance outside a home in Sandy Lake.
Officers discovered the body of the man in the ditch and Wilfred Fiddler was pronounced dead at the nursing station.
OPP say Kory Fiddler was originally charged with aggravated assault, however that charge has now been upgraded.
He remains in custody.
