School Bus Safety Goal Of First Rider Program

School buses can be nerve-racking for first timers.
The First Rider Program is looking to calm those nerves by allowing students from kindergarden to experience a bus ride and learn bus safety.
The program was held on Saturday at New Prospect Public School.
Northwest Consortium Transportation Officer Robyn Paquette says they cover all of the basics.
Officers from the Dryden Police Service and Ontario Provincal Police also spoke to the children about bus safety.
The students were able to go on a bus ride with their parents, and then went on one by themselves.
