Sioux Lookout And Workers Reach A Deal

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout and its workers have reached a new 4-year deal.
The agreement addresses outstanding issues related to wages and sick time benefits.
It also makes provisions of two “personal days” per year for Union employees.
Canadian Union of Public Employees Spokesperson Trevor Davies says they kept taxpayers in mind and believes his members received the best deal they could receive.
Sioux Lookout Chief Administrative Officer Ann Mitchell says the agreement is fair and equitable.
Mitchell says she’s pleased with the outcome.
The deal is retroactive to April 1st.
