Sioux Lookout Hospital $ ‘secure’

Even if there is a change in government, Sioux Lookout will still get
a new Hospital by 2009.
Minister of state for Public Health Carolyn Bennet announced Tuesday
Ottawa will invest $37.4 million or 44% of the project & she says that
funding committment is firm.

50% of the costs will be borne by the Provincial Government with the
new Hospital Corporation covering the remaining 6%
Construction is slated to begin in 2006/07 with the 60 bed facility to
open in 2009.
