The 36th Annual Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival is just a couple of days away.
Coordinator Maddie Mesich was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday and she says everything gets going on Friday.
Mesich says there will be a Farmers Market from 10:00am-2:00pm.
She says opening ceremonies start at 12:30 at the Travel Information Centre, with speeches from dignitaries and the cutting of the ribbon.
Mesich says they will celebrate Blueberry Bert’s birthday on Saturday at the same location, with guest appearances from Spider-Man and Batman.
The festival wraps up August 12th.
Mesich credits the commitment of volunteers and residents for the longevity of the festival.
