A Provincial Police officer in Fort Frances has been cleared of any wrongdoing in a July 2nd incident.
The Ontario Special Investigations Unit was called in after a man suffered injuries while awaiting a court appearance.
The 28-year-old, who was in police custody, struck his head on the rail of the prisoner’s box, causing it to bleed.
An officer standing nearby intervened to prevent further injury and the SIU determined the victims injuries were self-inflicted.
