The Rainy River District School Board has approved a school calendar for the next school year.
As per provincial guidelines, there will be 194 days of instruction during 2005-2006 and students will again return to class the week prior to Labour Day.
Director of Education Warren Hoshizacki notes students will also enjoy an extra day during the Christmas break which parents have been asking for to better suit holiday plans.
As usual, Atikokan High School students will have a slightly modified calendar due to the unique Outers Adventure Program.
