Quick work from attentive staff at Princess Court to extinguish a small fire.
Nine personnel with the Dryden Fire Service attended the Long Term Care home Sunday night at around 10:30.
Crews arrived to find a pile of debris in a private room that had been charred from a fire.
Nursing staff had successfully put out the blaze and firefighters removed the debris and ventilated the area.
Fire Chief Ryan Murrell says they treat all long-term care facility fires seriously, with special provisions for fire safety.
Murrell says staff at Princess Court did a remarkable job and followed their fire safety plan.
