Special Weather Statement Issued

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for most parts of northwestern Ontario.

CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says we will see a major change in the weather over the next two days as arctic air returns from the north.

We could see 10 to 15-millimetres of rain starting late Tuesday afternoon.

The rain will turn to snow around midnight and then we may be hit with 10 to 15-centimetres of snow.

Laidlaw says the system may also bring ice pellets and freezing rain Wednesday.

He stresses tonight won’t be a great night to travel.
