St. Joseph’s School in Dryden is encouraging hands-on-activities for kindergarten students.
Teacher Tracy Thompson is incorporating learning inquiries and activities into her classes which improve their learning skills on a different level.
Director of Education within the Northwest Catholic District School Board Mary-Catherine Kelly says that the students are able to ask a question, and then estimate the outcome.
She says they have been able to transfer existing skills, and do things that would improve their literacy and reading skills.
Recently the students raised over 350 dollars for breast cancer research through the sale of cake pops and holding a dance party.
