The debate over the future of the Parkview Apartments in Kenora has
taken another twist.
A professional engineer addressed the Kenora District Services Board
at a special meeting Wednesday and during the gathering Chair Brian Larson
received a call from the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Larson says John Gerretsen stated a promise of $900,000 is
significant but noted the Province may be able to offer more.

Larson will meet with Gerretsen next Thursday to find out if more money
will be on the way.
The Engineer advised the Board the building doesn’t need to be condemed
any time soon but noted the struture is suffering major moisture damage.
