Hydro One says more than 2600 power customers in the Dryden area are still without power today.
A hydro spokesperson says more than 30 crew members are on the job throughout the area but the process is a slow one because of numerous road closures due to flooding and washouts.
The estimated time of power restoration is not yet known.
Helocopters from Thunder Bay have been called out to locate downed lines.
Hydro One says trees, branches and other debris have brought down power lines and even hydro poles in some cases.
