The Students Union at Confederation College is doing its best to keep students up-to-date for the duration of the teacher’s strike.
This is day three of the province-wide College strike.
President Jodi Afonso says they’ve got a website up and running that stays abreast of the situation.
Afonso says there’s also an email link if students still have questions about the status of their courses.
She stresses the number one question and concern is potentially losing an entire school year.
Afonso says SUCCI has developed a program to keep then engaged and to ” keep the stress levels down”.
Meantime, international students at Confederation College will not be able to work extra hours during the strike.
Right now the government allows them to work no more than 20 hours a week while they’re taking courses, and Afonso says that will not change.
