The Dryden Development Corporation has its eye on several potential projects to diversify the local economy.
The group is conducting a feasibility study to determine the viability of a portable mill processing facility and developing a plan to attract biomass and pellet plant companies to the area.
Chair Janet Pilozow says they are hoping to receive permission to hire a grant writer.
Pilozow notes she’s encouraged with future opportunities in the mining sector as well as the development of the waterfront.
The DDC is in the process of creating a community investment video and plans are in place to launch a marketing campaign in December.
