‘Sunshine List’ 2010 Released

Ten City of Dryden employees have made the ‘Sunshine List’ of public sector workers earning over $100,000, up two from last year.
Seven names on the 2010 list are with the Dryden Police Service, including top wage earner Chief Shayne MacKinnon at over $150,000.
The other Municipal employees are City Manager Arie Hoogenboom, Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Louttit and Information Technology Leadhand Shaun Goldrup.
Sioux Lookout has two Municipal staffers on the list; CAO Merlin Dewing at over $159,000 and the Manager of Development Services Peter Moyer at roughly $102,000.
Chief Administrative Officer Brian Anderson is the only one in Red Lake at nearly $109,000.
School Board workers were well represented on the ‘Sunshine List’.
49-staffers of the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board made the list, with the top wage earner being Superintendent of Business Dean Carrie at nearly $149,000.
Others on the list include Principals, Vice-Principals, Board Staff and a Secondary Teacher.
The Northwest Catholic District School Board had 11-people on the list, including Director Mary-Catherine Kelly at roughly $184,000.
Pat Lang, the President of Confederation College, made over $267,000.
Several Health Care workers in our area are also in the $100,000 plus club.
The top wage earner was Medical Officer of Health Dr. James Arthurs at nearly $263,000.
The Northwestern Health Unit had 6-staff on the list.
9-people at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre made over $100,000, with Chief Executive Officer David Murray making over $178,000.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre had 7-employees on the list, including CEO Wade Petranik at over $177,000.
3-people with the Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital in Red Lake were on the list, with CEO Janice Mullin at over $144,000.
