Work on establishing a new Student Village at the Confederation College campus in Thunder Bay is moving forward.
Speaking in Dryden, President Jim Madder stated he’s expecting a proposal next week for a 240 to 300 bed facility.
Madder says the housing unit is badly needed, as the vacancy rate is under 1% and notes a proposal for the facility may be brought forward next week.
Madder adds the complex will include new recreational facilities, 24-hour coverage, access to child care and spiritual and cultural support.
He hopes to break ground next Spring, with a Summer 2015 opening.
