The Manager of the Dryden District Chamber of Commerce says everyone has a role to play in advancing business interests in the region.
The comments come following the release of the Business Retention and Attraction Survey.
Gwen Kurz says it all starts with strategic planning and greater communication between municipal governments and the business community.
Kurz says business owners need to know municipal priorities as well as their future plans.
The survey of 82 businesses found the number two disadvantage of doing business here at home was the Municipal government.
It also found 72% of businesses that pay municipal property taxes rated them as poor or fair.
