Taxpayers Federal Pleased With Federal Budget

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is applauding the federal budget.
Kevin Lacey is pleased to see increases to the universal child care benefit.
He notes any family with a child under the age of 17 will get $720 more each year to help make ends meet.
Lacey adds the amount of tax reductions is impressive including changes to income splitting between couples and a reduction in the small business tax.
He says having a balanced budget with a fair sized surplus will help boost the economy.
Lacey notes there were a couple of surprises in the budget.
He points to a change in the small business tax.
