Its not exactly a golden parachute, but Roger Valley won’t be penniless when he leaves office.
A list published by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation lists the amounts members of parliament will receive after losing their seats on Tuesday.
Because he only served four years in office, Valley is not eligible for a pension, but he will get a severance package.
According to figures released by the government, Valley will receive almost 78 thousand dollars as his golden handshake.
That’s the same at Thunder Bay-Rainy River M.P. Ken Boshcoff.
