The Northwest Local Health Integration Network has doled
out 550 thousand dollars in provincial funding to the
Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.
NW LHIN Chair John Whitfield says the money will help
alleviate pressures involving the facilities capacity.

Whitfield notes they’ll also be able to move patients
who no longer need accute care spots into community care
facilities. The funding will mean more accute care spots
will be open to the region.
