Elementary and Secondary teachers in the Keewatin-Patricia School District are anxiously awaiting a new contract.
Elementary instructors are threatening to step up work-to-rule action and reduce extra-curricular activities if they don’t get a contract settlement by June 1st.
The Board is one of about 18 across Ontario identified by the Elementary Teachers Federation for their reluctance to make a deal.
Negotiations are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.
Talks with High School teachers are expected to resume June 6th and 7th.
