Ten Eagles Found Dead In Dalles First Nation

A disturbing find on the Dalles First Nation.

Two golden eagles and eight bald eagles were found dead inside the community landfill, some missing their talons and wings.

Chief Lorraine Cobiness says the animals were found by elders and she believes the birds met their end by the hands of someone outside the community.

Cobiness says a ceremony was held in honour of the eagles.

She adds the authorities have been contacted in hopes of catching those responsible.
