It was an active Sunday on the forest fire front across northwestern Ontario.
23 new starts are being reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
Currently there are 98 active fires across the region, 30 are considered not under control.
The fire hazard is high in the Sioux Lookout and Kenora districts as well as portions of the Red Lake districts.
It’s predominantly moderate in the Dryden, Fort Frances, Thunder Bay and Nipigon districts.
