The Kenora ‘AAA’ Thistles came up big when needed to stay alive at the Telus Cup Regional Hockey Championship in Saskatoon on Friday.
The Thistles tied division champion Winnipeg Wild 5-5.
Elijah Loon-Stewardson of Sioux Lookout scored for Kenora, while Dryden’s Graham Oliphant and Trey Palermo eash added assists.
Kenora will face Notre Dame in its final game Saturday afternoon.
A Thistles win guarantees a spot in the Semi-Final.
