Thunder Bay RCMP Officer Will Be Laid To Rest

An RCMP officer, originally from Thunder Bay, will be laid to rest next week in Banff, Alberta.
RCMP Constable Christine Diotte was killed this week while investigating a traffic accident near Banff.
She and her partner were checking a vehicle rollover when an S-U-V skidded off the road and struck both officers and their car.
Diotte was pronounced dead in Banff while her partner continues to recover in hospital.
Diotte will have a full regimental funeral on Monday in Banff.
She had been with the Mounties since 1996.
She is the sixth Canadian police officer to die on duty in the last six months.
